After purchasing your appointment, please contact the HotLine at 500 900 999.
During the visit, the doctor will:
- examine your child and provide a diagnosis – treatment within the scope of primary healthcare;
- issue or renew an e-prescription, and provide a ZUS ZLA sick note if care is required;
- recommend a specialist consultation or give advice on further treatment.
A home visit by a paediatrician lasts up to 35 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: During a home visit, the doctor does not collect samples for tests and does not administer any form of medication (e.g. injections or IV drips).
The home visits of a paediatrician are available:
- for children aged 1-17;
- within the administrative boundaries of Warsaw;
- from Tuesday to Friday between 8:30 and 18:30 (excluding public holidays).
Upon arrival at the indicated address, the doctor will wait a maximum of 15 minutes to begin the visit. If it is not possible to start the consultation within this time, the visit will be considered completed.
Due to heavy traffic and the dynamic nature of road traffic, the doctor may arrive up to 20 minutes before or after the scheduled appointment time.
The visit lasts a maximum of 35 minutes. A legal guardian of the child or a person authorised in writing must be present during the consultation. The doctor will ask to see a photo ID.

Your benefits
- Comfort and a sense of security for your child
Your child remains in familiar surroundings, which reduces stress and fear of the doctor. This is especially important for infants and young children, who tend to cope better with a medical examination at home. - No need to travel
You save time and energy, and there is no need to organise transport. This is a convenient solution when your child is very weak or has a fever. - Lower risk of exposure to infections
Healthcare centres often have other sick children, which increases the risk of additional infections. By staying at home, you help protect your child from exposure to pathogens and illness. - Opportunity to observe the child in their natural environment
The paediatrician can see how your child functions at home – for example, feeding habits and sleeping conditions. This can be helpful when giving care recommendations. - Convenience for parents
If you are the sole carer and your child has siblings, you don’t need to bring them all to a medical centre. The whole process is less stressful, and you save time that can be spent elsewhere. - Easier in difficult situations
In cases of high fever, dehydration, or coughing fits, it’s easier to care for your child at home while waiting for the doctor to arrive. - Sick notes, prescriptions, referrals
You receive the same entitlements from the doctor as you would at the surgery: during the visit, they can issue a prescription, referral, or sick note.

After booking and paying for the visit, please call +48 500 900 999. Our call centre staff member will verify your payment and connect you with a medical dispatcher, who will conduct a brief medical interview.
How to prepare for a home visit
- Choose a suitable space in your home. Ideally, it should be:
- quiet and well-lit, providing comfort for both the child and the doctor;
- spacious enough for the doctor to move freely and perform necessary examinations;
- equipped with a place for the doctor to sit and complete medical documentation.
If possible, remove unnecessary items and keep pets in a separate room to ensure easy access to the child and a professional environment. - Gather all relevant medical documents, including your child’s health record or immunisation book; a list of current medications; results of recent tests, examinations and any other important medical documents. This helps the doctor quickly understand your child’s medical history and provide appropriate care.
- Write down any questions or concerns you’d like to discuss with the doctor. This will help you make the most of the visit and ensure nothing important is overlooked.
- Prepare a list of all medications your child takes – both regularly and as needed.
- If you are the legal guardian or an authorized caregiver, you must present a valid photo ID during the visit. If someone else will be present with the child, make sure they have their ID and any necessary written authorization.
- Note: If no identification is provided, the doctor may refuse the visit, and you will not be eligible for a refund.
- Prepare a list of all medications your child takes – both regularly and as needed.
- Have your photo ID ready – if you are the legal guardian or a person authorised in writing to care for the child, or if another guardian will be present during the visit, make sure they are informed that they must have such identification with them (along with any written authorisation, if applicable). If no ID is available, the doctor has the right to refuse to carry out the visit – in such a case, you are not entitled to a refund.
Cancelling a visit
You can cancel the visit by phone – just call +48 500 900 999.
The visit will be cancelled if you do so at least 60 minutes before the time slot in which the doctor is scheduled to arrive. For example, a visit scheduled between 8:30 and 10:30 needs to be cancelled by 7:30 at the latest. If you cancel the visit later than that, the cancellation will not be valid, and you will not be entitled to a refund.
A home visit is not suitable in situations that pose a threat to health or life. In such emergencies, call 999 or 112 immediately
