8 steps of the Premium Hygiene Protocol:
- Oral hygiene assessment - Individual analysis of the condition of the teeth, gums and periodontium. Rinsing the mouth with antibacterial mouthwash.
- Staining – visualisation of the bacterial plaque - Staining the bacterial plaque allows us to obtain a “map” of the patient’s home oral hygiene. Thanks to this, our hygienist can easily indicate the areas which are not properly cleaned at home.
- Motivation and education - We provide oral hygiene instructions combined with a selection of accessories that will contribute to the elimination of bacteria from the mouth.
- Airflow® Max – scaling and sandblasting (part 1) - Removal of bacterial plaque, discolouration and pre-mineralised tartar – elimination of supragingival and gingival bacterial plaque as well as deposits remaining on enamel, gums, tongue and palate.
- Perioflow® – scaling and sandblasting (part 2) *- Removal of bacterial plaque accumulated in deep periodontal pockets and interdental spaces – in case of both natural teeth and implants.
- Piezon® PS – scaling and sandblasting (part 3) * -Removal of remaining tartar – elimination of supragingival and subgingival mineralised deposits, cleaning of periodontal pockets and the spaces around implants and prosthetic restorations.
- Oral health check and fluoridation - Checking for the presence of caries – verifying that all bacterial plaque and tartar have been removed. Diagnosis of the presence of caries. Protection of teeth using fluoride.
- Schedule of appointments - Making a schedule of future appointments at the dental office.
* Stages 5 and 6 are only performed if the hygienist decides that there are medical indications for doing so.
