If you prefer to find a specialist who speaks a foreign language, we recommend looking at the profile of the doctor in question. Simply click on the specialist's name from the list of schedules above and go to the broader description of the doctor, which will include information on foreign languages. If the doctor has no additional languages visible, this means that the doctor speaks Polish only.
Nephrologist - telemedical consultation
A nephrologist deals with urinary tract and kidney disorders (conservative treatment), e.g. kidney stone disease, kidney failure, renal cysts, urinary incontinence and urinary tract infections.
During a telemedical consultation, the doctor:
- takes a medical history;
- makes a diagnosis;
- gives medical recommendations;
- prescribes medications;
- issues referrals for tests, examinations or consultations (where necessary):
- in the case of consultations carried out by Medicover – a referral for a consultation or test/examination to a Medicover Centre;
- in the case of consultations taking place at Medicover Hospital – a referral for a consultation to Medicover Hospital, and for a test/examination to Medicover Hospital or a Medicover Centre;
- may issue a sick leave.
During a telemedical consultation, the doctor will provide any services that may be carried out remotely. However, when taking a medical history, the doctor may decide that an on-site consultation is necessary to make a definitive diagnosis and recommend the appropriate treatment.
