Tendon Ultrasound
Tendons connect the muscle belly to a specific bone structure. They transmit the force generated by muscle contraction, enabling proper bone movement. As such, tendons are anatomical structures that are frequently subject to overload. In cases of overuse-related changes, ultrasound examination reveals alterations in tendon morphology. Additionally, ultrasonography allows for the diagnosis of traumatic tendon injuries, including complete ruptures or partial tears. A common complication following inflammatory or traumatic changes is the formation of adhesions.
Dynamic ultrasound examination enables real-time assessment of tendon movement, allowing for the diagnosis of the above-mentioned conditions. Focal lesions within tendons are much less common, but when they do occur, ultrasound is also used for diagnostic evaluation.

Abdominal ultrasound is used to assess the liver, the gallbladder, the biliary tract, the pancreas, the spleen, the kidneys, the adrenal glands, the bladder, the aorta as well as large blood vessels and the retroperitoneal space.

Breast ultrasound is used to assess the structure of the mammary gland. By means of the examination, it is possible to identify cysts and fibroadenomas.

Scrotal ultrasound

Thyroid ultrasound is used to determine the size and position of the thyroid and conduct its morphological assessment. The examination makes it possible to diagnose thyroid dysfunction.
