Childbirth School with First Aid Course – Natural Birth
Classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Jeannette Birth School, 2/33 Grupy AK Północ St., Warsaw (Mokotów district, near Czerniakowska St. and Polish Underground State Avenue).
The first aid course for infants can be arranged by phone appointment. Details will be provided in your order confirmation.
At the Medicover Hospital Birth School, we offer classes for women preparing for natural childbirth as well as for those who will deliver via cesarean section. Classes conducted by our qualified staff cover topics related to childbirth, such as:
- signs of impending labor,
- stages of labor,
- the role of the future dad in the delivery room,
- pain relief techniques,
- types of anesthesia used during childbirth,
- postpartum period – its physiology and hygiene during the recovery phase.
Moreover, during weekend sessions, midwives working at Medicover Hospital will be happy to answer your questions regarding the postpartum period or newborn care. Topics will include:
- breastfeeding (techniques and principles of breastfeeding, lactation physiology, milk expression techniques, etc.),
- newborn care – skin and umbilical cord hygiene, bathing, dressing, diapering,
- documentation and official matters to take care of after the child is born,
- preparing the baby’s room.
The weekend meeting is a great opportunity to get to know the delivery ward midwives better – they will welcome you to our department and care for you throughout your stay in the hospital.
Since Medicover has long been actively engaged in promoting health prevention, our Birth School also offers a first aid course for infants. It allows future parents to expand their knowledge with practical information that may be useful in health- and life-threatening situations involving a child.
Meetings are held in groups of up to 8 couples. Triage is mandatory upon entry. Please bring extra socks and snacks (especially for pregnant women). We provide tea, coffee, and water.
