Rafal Sciegienny, MD, PhD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy in Bydgoszcz and the Faculty of Dentistry at the Medical Academy in Poznan. For many years he has specialized in anterior eye surgery (cataracts, glaucoma, corneal transplants), diagnosis of eye diseases (including FLA, OCT, HRT, ultrasound, perimetry), treatment of diseases of the ocular surface and retina (AMD, diabetic retinopathy, CSR, choroidal bands).
As head of the specialty, he is a teacher for future ophthalmologists. As part of his social activities, he works as a corneal transplant coordinator.
