Package: Colotect genetic test for colorectal cancer + consultation with a doctor

Screening is particularly valuable for colorectal cancer, which is often asymptomatic in its early stages.

Early detection of lesions significantly increases the chances of a complete cure.

Colotect TM 1.0. is a stool test for the early detection of colorectal cancer. Colotect is a highly sensitive and specific epigenetic test based on qPCR technology.

The test allows pre-cancerous conditions to be identified and removed before they have a chance to develop into a malignant form of cancer.

Sensitivity:

- 96% w in detecting colorectal cancer

- 52% for early detection of advanced adenomas

Specificity:

- 92% in non-advanced stages of cancerous lesions

The package includes the Colotect test and a follow-up visit when the doctor discusses the test result with the patient and recommends further treatment.

1. After purchasing the package, please pick up the test kit at the Wellness Medicine Clinic at Medicover Hospital, Al. Rzeczypospolitej 5, Warsaw – from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 18:00. Patients who wish to receive a test kit via courier are kindly requested to call the Wellness Medicine Clinic (500 900 905) or email wellness@medicover.pl
2. The stool sample used for the test is collected by the patient at home using the kit provided – it should be sent to the Wellness Medicine Clinic within 24 hours of collection so that it arrives at the time specified in point (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
3. It is not necessary to introduce any dietary restrictions or changes in medication before collecting the material.
4. The patient will receive the result of the test within ten (10) working days after the sample is sent. The Wellness Medicine Clinic will contact the patient to arrange a convenient date for the consultation included in the package.
5. The service may be provided within 3 months from its purchase (starting from the date indicated in the order confirmation).
