Orthopaedic consultation and ultrasound package
Orthopaedic consultation with an ultrasound of the musculoskeletal system for adults – all during a single visit! This allows the doctor to immediately check what is causing the pain, swelling or limited mobility. There is no need to book a separate appointment for the ultrasound – you save time and speed up the process of making an accurate diagnosis.

The “Orthopaedic Consultation and Ultrasound” package combines a specialist appointment with an ultrasound examination of the musculoskeletal system. During a single visit, the doctor conducts a detailed medical interview and orthopaedic examination, and performs an ultrasound of a selected joint, muscle or tendon – without the need to schedule any additional appointments. This allows for the quick identification of the source of pain, swelling or limited mobility. It is convenient, time-saving and significantly shortens the path to an accurate diagnosis.
During the visit, the orthopaedist:
- conducts a detailed medical interview and orthopaedic examination, assessing the patient’s general health and the functioning of the musculoskeletal system;
- performs an on-site ultrasound of the selected area – depending on the reported symptoms (e.g. shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, ankle joint);
- provides an initial diagnosis;
- discusses the ultrasound results immediately after the examination;
- presents an individual plan for further management or treatment, which may include pharmacotherapy, referral for additional imaging tests or a procedure, such as an intra-articular injection, or a referral to a physiotherapist.
An orthopaedic ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging examination that uses ultrasound waves to assess the structures of the musculoskeletal system – such as joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles. What’s more, it allows these tissues to be observed in motion (dynamic musculoskeletal ultrasound), that is, during the patient’s activity (e.g. assessing the function of tendons and ligaments during bending, straightening or rotating a joint, or detecting joint instability that may not be visible in a static examination). This enables quick and precise diagnosis of injuries, inflammation or overuse-related changes. During the visit, the doctor performs one of the following ultrasounds: ankle, shoulder, hip, elbow, hand, muscles and tendons, wrist, midfoot or tendon.
Who is this package for?
This package is recommended for patients experiencing musculoskeletal pain, such as joint, muscle or tendon pain, as well as for those suspected of having injuries (including sports injuries), overuse conditions, inflammation or degenerative changes. It is particularly suitable for people:
- with joint, muscle or tendon pain – whether acute or chronic;
- who have noticed swelling, limited mobility or a sensation of “popping” in a joint;
- with suspected injuries (sprains, strains, dislocations);
- with sports-related injuries and overuse conditions;
- showing signs of inflammation or degenerative changes;
- who are experiencing mobility issues;
- with recurring symptoms that interfere with daily functioning;
- who want or need to monitor their orthopaedic treatment (e.g. during rehabilitation, after a procedure or while undergoing pharmacotherapy).
Examples of situations when it makes sense to book an appointment:
- knee pain while walking or climbing stairs,
- shoulder stiffness or difficulty raising your arm,
- swelling and pain in the ankle joint after an injury,
- Achilles tendon or thigh muscle pain after training or sports activity,
- hand numbness and wrist pain when working at a computer,
- limited hip movement when getting up from a chair,
- clicking or popping in a joint,
- no improvement after pain relief treatment.
Why is this package worth choosing?
- Everything at a single visit – there is no need to book a separate appointment for an ultrasound. Combining an orthopaedic consultation with ultrasound allows for a quick and accurate identification of the cause of symptoms.
- Precise diagnostics – the doctor assesses muscles, ligaments and joints in real time, including during movement, which makes it easier to detect micro-injuries and inflammation.
- Ultrasound is safe and painless – it requires no preparation and does not involve exposure to radiation.
- The package is tailored to your needs – basing on your symptoms, the doctor decides which area to examine, so there is no need for you to determine this in advance.
- Quick diagnosis and decisions about further treatment – you save time and return to full mobility faster. You also receive personalised recommendations and a proposed treatment method (e.g. pharmacotherapy, injection procedures or a referral to a physiotherapist).
- Medical documentation available instantly – you receive a full report and recommendations at the end of the visit.
