Maciej Kielar, MD, PhD
Maciej Kielar, MD, PhD, is a second-degree specialist in general and vascular surgery. He graduated from the Medical Academy of Warsaw (currently: Medical University of Warsaw) and holds PhD in medical sciences.
The Doctor has extensive professional experience, which he gained, among others, while working at the Second Department of General and Vascular Surgery of the Medical Academy of Warsaw.
To improve his professional qualifications, Doctor Kielar regularly participates in training programmes and courses, as evidenced by the numerous certificates awarded to him.
Doctor Kielar is an author and co-author of more than 100 publications in the field of surgery as well as the supervisor of 38 master’s theses and 1 doctoral dissertation.
The Doctor carries out:
- treatment of vascular diseases;
- Doppler ultrasound of veins and arteries;
- treatment of atherosclerosis;
- treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.

- Head of the research project under the State Committee for Scientific Research (concerning reparative angiogenesis), Head and main contractor of 3 own research projects of the Medical Academy (concerning improvements in vascular surgery) (2001-2003);
- Head of the research project under the State Committee for Scientific Research (concerning the effect of L-arginine on the physical performance of patients with vascular disorders) (2004-2007);
- Academic lecturer at the Medical University of Warsaw in the field of general and vascular surgery (since 2005);
- Member of the Council of the Second Medical Faculty of the Medical University of Warsaw (since 2006);
- Head of a statutory research project at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce (concerning epidemiology of colorectal cancer) (since 2013);
- Associate Professor at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce (since 2013);
- Member of the Council of the Faculty of Health Science at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce (since 2013);
- Head of the Department of Oncology Nursing Care at the Faculty of Health Science at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce (since 2013);
