Vibrating-pulsating inhalations are recommended for patients:
- with upper respiratory tract diseases, e.g. acute and chronic laryngitis.
- with sinus diseases, dysfunction of the Eustachian tubes, and middle ear conditions.
Vibrating-pulsating inhalations involve securely placing special fitted nozzles into the patient's nostrils. The inhaler generates positive pressure while simultaneously prompting the patient to swallow saliva, which opens the Eustachian tubes and forces vibroaerosol into the Eustachian tube and middle ear.
Vibrating-pulsating inhalations are painless, non-invasive, and can be performed on adults and children (over 3 years old who are able to cooperate during the procedure).
The procedures are performed only upon a doctor's prescription with specific medication and dosage instructions.
Inhalations are performed with the use of drugs available in Centre:
- Pulmicort
- Nebbud
- Mucosolvan
If your doctor has prescribed other medicines, you should bring them to the Visit.
We recommend that parents bring a drink to inhalation in children necessarily with a straw. For the inhalation procedure, the patient must be healthy, without infection.
The procedure takes 30 minutes.
