These tests and consultations are essential to assess your health comprehensively. Carried out separately, besides the "Conscious Man" Health Screening, the price is up to PLN 436 more. Moreover, you have to spend much more time, but time is also money. By purchasing the "Conscious Man" Health Screening you save both your precious money and time. The tests and the medical consultations are coordinated: you only visit the Medical Centre twice. A visit to the optometrist and a dental check-up are carried out separately at different locations.

  • PSA: determination of PSA antigen for early detection of prostate cancer
  • morphology - provides valuable information on the general health condition allowing the detection of numerous diseases at an early stage, e.g. anaemias, various deficiencies, tumours, blood diseases, thrombosis
  • lipidogram (4 tests: LDL (low-density lipoprotein), HDL (high-density lipoprotein), total cholesterol, triglycerides) – the test helps detect heart diseases, atherosclerosis; the test is also important in cases of overweight and obesity, diabetes, hypertension, as well as for preventive measures; excess cholesterol may increase the risk of heart attack and stroke
  • glucose - a glucose test can detect diabetes
  • TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) - testing the concentration of this hormone allows the detection of hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism and is also used in the diagnosis of Hashimoto's disease
  • HCV - testing for the detection of hepatitis C
  • HBs - testing for the detection of hepatitis B
  • ALT - liver enzyme test can detect liver diseases
  • creatinine - blood creatinine test to assess kidney function
  • uric acid - testing the concentration of uric acid allows assessment of kidney function and gout (arthritis)
  • HIV - testing for HIV infection
• urinalysis

Optometrist

As part of the health screening, patients can additionally undergo a free eye examination for the selection of corrective glasses, conducted by an optometrist in selected cities where Medicover Optyk or OKKO showrooms are located. The examination does not involve the selection of contact lenses. The appointment with the optometrist may be different from the appointments made at the Medicover Center. This visit takes place at Medicover Optyk or OKKO showrooms, not at the Medical Center.

Duration of the examination: approx. 30 minutes

Scope of the examination:

• comprehensive assessment of the refractive status (sight defect);
• eye accommodation assessment;
• binocular vision assessment;
• discussion of results and provision of recommendations to the patient;
• issue of an eyeglass prescription.

NEW! Dental Check-up

As part of this service, patients have the additional opportunity to get a free dental check-up in selected cities where Medicover Stomatologia centres are located. The appointment for the dental check-up may differ from the dates of visits scheduled at a Medicover Centre. This dental check-up takes place at Medicover Stomatologia clinics. It is recommended that adults have a dental check-up at least once a year.

Depending on clinical indications, the dentist will:

• conduct a medical interview,
• perform a dental examination,
• assess the patient's oral health,
• provide recommendations and an initial preventive and treatment plan.

The check-up does not include a panoramic X-ray.

Health screening: step-by-step guide

Select the most convenient location First, select the city/town and Medicover Centre where you would like to schedule your health screening. Then, complete the form with your personal details and make a purchase.

How to schedule a health screening? A coordinator will contact you within 24 working hours of your purchase to provide available appointment dates at your chosen Medicover Centre; On the day of your screening, the coordinator will be present to personally guide you through the scheduled tests and consultations. For identification purposes, please bring your ID with a photo.

Results You can expect to receive your results at the collection point within 3 working days. If you're a Medicover patient and have registered on the Medicover OnLine platform, you can also access your results online

Important information

• The health screening will take place over 2 appointments at your selected Medicover Centre.
• You have 3 months (from the date indicated in the order confirmation) to benefit from the screening.
• You can complete the screening at the Medicover Center of your choice in major Polish cities: Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice Poznan, Gdansk, Gdynia, Szczecin, Lublin, Lodz.
• You are eligible for a free eye exam during an additional visit to Medicover Optic or OKKO optical showrooms in selected locations.
• You can also have a free dental check-up during an additional visit to any Medicover Dental Centre.
