Paediatric surgeon - consultation

The paediatric surgeon qualifies patients for surgical treatment in hospital, e.g. appendicitis, stools or abdominal hernias.

Before surgical removal of skin lesions such as warts, fibromas and moles, you should see a dermatologist who will assess the medical indications for removing the lesions.

During the consultation, the doctor:

takes a medical history and performs a physical examination; makes a diagnosis; gives medical recommendations; prescribes medications; issues referrals for tests, examinations, consultations and hospitalisation; issues sick leave.

Important information

The paediatric surgeon consults children up to the age of 16. The consultation lasts 15 minutes. Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. The service can only be provided at the medical facility indicated at the time of purchase. At the appointment, the doctor may perform a per rectum examination, remove sutures and apply a dressing.

Paediatric surgeon - telemedical consultation

During a telemedical consultation, the doctor:

takes a medical history and performs a physical examination; makes a diagnosis; gives medical recommendations; prescribes medications; issues referrals for tests, examinations, consultations and hospitalisation; issues sick leave.

During a telemedical consultation, the doctor will provide any services that may be carried out remotely. However, when taking a medical history, the doctor may decide that an on-site consultation is necessary to make a definitive diagnosis and recommend the appropriate treatment.
