The classes take place on Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Jeannette Birthing School, Grupy AK Północ 2/33, Warszawa (Mokotów, near Czerniakowska and Al. Polski Walczącej).
You can take a course in infant first aid after making an appointment by telephone. Details will be given in the order confirmation.
During the Sunday courses, midwives from Medicover Hospital will be on hand to answer questions about the postnatal period or newborn care. Topics to be covered include:
- Breastfeeding (techniques and principles of breastfeeding, physiology of lactation, pumping techniques, etc.)
- Newborn care - skin and navel care, bathing, dressing, changing,
- Documentation and official matters to be dealt with after the baby is born,
- Preparing the baby's room.
The Sunday meeting is a good opportunity to get to know the maternity unit midwives, as they will be the ones to welcome you to our unit and you will remain under their care until the end of your hospital stay.
Since Medicover has been actively involved in promoting preventive health care for many years, our maternity school could not do without the first aid course for babies. Thanks to this course, future parents can supplement their knowledge with practical information that will come in handy in moments of danger to the health and life of their child.
Sessions are held in groups of up to 8 couples. Please bring extra socks and a snack (especially for pregnant women). Tea, coffee and water are provided.
Class schedule
· Sunday – Nursing and feeding 10:00-13:00
