An internist is a primary care physician for most conditions of the internal organs, who also provides preventive care, checks the general health condition of patients and qualifies them for prophylactic vaccinations.

During the visit, the doctor may measure blood pressure and perform a rectal examination and an otoscopy (physical examination of the ear with a speculum).

The scope of this doctor’s duties includes diagnosing, differentiating and treating most diseases of the internal organs, as well as providing preventive care and checking the general health condition of patients.

• general ailments of a patient.

During a telemedical consultation, the doctor:

During the telemedical consultation, the doctor provides all the services that can be performed remotely. However, the medical interview may indicate the necessity to schedule a stationary visit, without which it would not be possible to make a correct diagnosis and select the appropriate treatment.
